Mother of One

Love here is not a feeling, but a principle — that connects scattered and separate things.

Zofia Pałucha paints from photographs — press, film, private, and police — and moves between them without changing her tone. Tenderness coexists here with violence, and personal experience with the story of someone the artist will never meet. She does not establish a hierarchy between them, and that is the true point of the exhibition: the moment when different lives cease to be separate, if only for a moment.
