Parasympathies is a fragmented body of work approaching sympathy’s flip side: not a shared feeling, but a structural condition of proximity, (mis)alignment, and (in)dependence.
Through paired “standard” materials, split forms, cinematic frames, and mirrored language, the works stage repetition without resolution, placing constructive and destructive gestures in parallel.
A pair closes in on itself as a mirror. Counting can only begin with a third. Multiplicity requires excess; excess demands variation. The second number must be four.
