Low Ground Pressure

“Ghost Train” uses sound, light and movement to create an eerie atmosphere, inspired by David Lynch and his fascination with the magic of hearing. The central theme is hauntology, a concept by cultural theorist Mark Fisher that deals with “lost futures” – visions of the future of modernity that were never realized by neoliberalism. Hauntology functions as a political and cultural resistance against a present without progress and refuses to give up past hopes for the future. Music and sound serve as a means of making these missed futures tangible and developing new ideas for the future. The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a melancholy, resistant intermediate world in which past, present and possible futures collide.
