Low Ground Pressure

What if milk were an inexhaustible resource we could all feed from together? What if care were given freely, with responsibility shared? What if we freed ourselves from expectations passed down through generations, allowing ourselves to become unruly and childlike? If we were no longer pressured to produce, reproduce, and perform, who would we become?

HOT MILK is Frida Retz’s first solo exhibition in Norway. Through a combination of new and existing works, Retz explores milk as a recurring symbol: as nourishment and desire, care and resource. Milk moves between the intimate and the industrial, opening up questions around fertility politics, the sexualisation of bodies, and unattainable expectations.
