Low Ground Pressure

At Tkalka Gallery, Albert Mayr presents AIR CONDITION, a performative installation that establishes space as a dynamic and responsive structure. The project emerges from the interplay of sound and moving image, which together unfold the temporal and spatial dimensions of experience while creating a tension between the visible and the audible. Within this configuration, sound operates as the primary organizing principle: it does not merely generate atmosphere, but articulates the very conditions of relation.
Space is thus constituted as a relational field in which meaning arises through the interaction between body and situation. The artwork takes shape as a network of relations activated in the encounter between body, sound, and spatial articulation. Its structure remains open and processual; movement within it generates tension and opens a field of possibilities for an event that may occur.
AIR CONDITION raises the question of how sound and invisible spatial forces shape us before we become aware of them, and how art can reconstitute space as an intense, relational, and embodied experience.
