Deerskin In Japan Thing

“Deerskin In Japan Thing” at FOME in Osaka, Japan. An event for the release of Deerskin’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection by Dylan Matsuno alongside an exhibition of works by collaborator, Joshua Abelow.

Beginning with an introspective survey of the Deerskin uniform, Deerskin’s second collection decides to expand beyond historically informed garments by introducing new themes of experimentation and inaccuracy through textile manipulations observed by the designer and maker during a separate study in painting. The collection includes a series of unique hats and a jacket made in collaboration with Joshua Abelow, whose artwork was an initial inspiration for the collection.
